June is when the meals disappear
For many Philadelphia children, school breakfast and lunch are the two most dependable meals of the day. Summer removes both at once.
Our Summer Sandwich Program fills part of that gap with fresh sandwiches made by volunteers — students, families, corporate teams, and congregations — then distributed through camps, pantries, and outreach partners. One morning shift can produce well over a thousand lunches.
